Cookie Policy
This policy explains how EngagementSMM uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them.
Last updated: May 1, 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, improve performance, and provide information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixel tags.
2. Cookies We Use
Essential cookies
Required for the Service to function. These include authentication tokens (managed by Supabase) that keep you signed in, and CSRF protection cookies. You cannot opt out of these without losing access to the Service.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site. These collect anonymised data about pages visited, time on site, and user journeys. No personally identifiable information is stored in these cookies.
Advertising cookies
The Meta Pixel sets cookies (_fbp and _fbc) used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. These help us understand which ads lead to sign-ups and purchases, and allow us to show relevant ads to people who have visited the site.
Payment cookies
When you visit a Stripe Checkout page, Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing. These are governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
3. Third-Party Cookies
The following third parties may set cookies when you use our Service:
- Google — fonts (fonts.googleapis.com)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com, js.stripe.com)
These third parties have their own privacy policies which govern how they use the data collected through their cookies.
4. Cookie Durations
Cookies we set fall into two categories:
- Session cookies — deleted when you close your browser. Used for authentication state during a browsing session.
- Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period. Analytics cookies typically expire after 13 months. Meta Pixel cookies persist for up to 90 days.
5. How to Control Cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings — most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies via their settings (usually under Privacy or Security).
- Google Analytics opt-out — install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Meta ad preferences — manage via your Facebook Ad Settings.
Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the Service.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we introduce new features or as applicable laws change. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
